What Is A Google Wave?

A Wave within Google Wave is an object that comes in many shapes and sizes. A Wave can be a simple message like '..ok, see you later..' or it can be highly formatted content, such as video, photos or even a Google map. Maps within a Wave can be manipulated concurrently in real-time by all participates within the Wave. The following screen shot illustrates several blips within a Wave. Blips are highlighted in red. Notice you can have empty Blips within any Wave. Empty Waves can be removed automatically by using a Google Wave robot. One robot available to remove empty blips is Sweepy. To summarize; A Google Wave is highly formatted content, whether it be a simple Tweet on Twitter or the latest blockbuster video from Hollywood. This is the heart and underlying reason for Google Wave. Google Wave provides a platform for all communication for the present day.
